Effortless Release
Compact Design
Traditional clear ice molds force you to run hot water over them to get the sphere out. Our split silicone core releases with a simple twist—the ice comes out intact, with no cracks or seams. The compact 2.9″ × 3.9″ body slides into any standard freezer shelf.
Step 1: Fill the Cup
Add tap water or drinking water to the stainless steel cup until the water reaches the MIN line. Place the cup on a flat surface and avoid filling above the marked line.
Step 2: Insert the Mold
Gently place the silicone mold into the cup. Press it down slowly and evenly until it is fully seated. A small amount of water may come out through the vent opening during this step.
Step 3: Freeze for 16+Hours
Place the assembled mold upright on a flat surface in the freezer. Freeze for at least 16 hours. A longer freezing time may be needed depending on the freezer temperature and how often the freezer door is opened.
Step 4: Release the Ice
Take the mold out of the freezer and leave it at room temperature for about 2 minutes. Then remove the silicone mold from the stainless steel cup, open the mold, and take out the clear ice ball.
How do I use it?
Will it fit my freezer?
The unit measures 2.9" diameter × 3.9" height, so it slots into the door shelf or a corner of almost any standard home freezer.
How clear is the ice, really?
Directional freezing moves air and impurities away from the cube. With normal water and a full freeze, the result is dramatically clearer than standard freezer ice.
How long does a sphere take?
Allow 18-24 hours in a standard home freezer. Timing varies slightly with how cold your freezer runs and how often it is opened.
How many spheres does it make?
One perfect 2.5" sphere per freeze cycle. Many customers keep two or three units going so there is always one ready.
Is it easy to remove?
Yes. Let the unit rest for a moment after freezing, then flex the silicone mold open and the sphere lifts out whole - no twisting,no hot water.
What water should I use?
Tap water works. Boiling or specialty water is not required for clarity.
Is it food-safe?
Yes. The outer shell is 304 stainless steel and the inner mold is food-grade silicone, both designed for repeated contact with drinking water.
